TREWAS
Design software for efficient, safe and durable transient cryogenic hydrogen storage systems in aviation
The project TREWAS provides a new type of design software for cryogenic hydrogen storage systems with a special focus on energy efficiency, safety and durability. The planned software is initially geared towards the requirements of aviation, but is also intended to be used for other applications in the future, e.g. for the design of cryogenic H2 storage systems for heavy duty vehicles or hydrogen transportation.
In the TREWAS project, TLK is developing the design software and a service portfolio based on the resulting software. Our project partner TU Braunschweig is primarily investigating innovative operating and control strategies and performing measurements for model validation.
